Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Somon VPN mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service") provided by Somon VPN ("we", "us").

By installing, accessing, or using Somon VPN you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

Somon VPN provides an encrypted virtual private network tunnel between your device and our servers. The Service is designed to help users in regions with restricted internet access reach common services such as messaging, video, and the open web.

The Service relies on Android's VpnService API and uses the WireGuard, VLESS Reality, and VLESS over WebSocket protocols, or other comparable protocols we may add later.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using Somon VPN you confirm that you meet this age requirement and that your use of a VPN service is permitted in your jurisdiction.

4. Account

Somon VPN uses anonymous guest accounts. We do not require you to create an account with personal information. A device-local identifier is generated on first launch and used to authenticate your device against the Service.

5. Subscriptions and payments

  • Premium features are sold as subscriptions through Google Play Billing (in the Android app) or through our website payment system powered by Platega (SBP bank transfer).
  • Prices are shown at the time of purchase in Russian Rubles (RUB).
  • Subscriptions purchased through Google Play automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
  • Website purchases via Platega are one-time payments for the selected period. To continue after expiration, purchase a new subscription.
  • You can manage or cancel Google Play subscriptions from the Google Play subscription settings on your device.
  • Refunds for Google Play purchases are handled by Google Play in accordance with its refund policy. For website purchases, contact our support team.
  • If your payment fails or your subscription is refunded, premium features will be disabled at the end of the current grace period.

6. Free trial

If a free trial is offered to you, it will be clearly indicated before you confirm the subscription. The trial converts into a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless you cancel before then.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Commit fraud, distribute malware, or attack other systems
  • Send spam or bulk unsolicited messages
  • Violate intellectual property rights of others
  • Distribute content that is illegal in your jurisdiction
  • Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or overload the Service
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the Service without our written permission

We may suspend or terminate access for any device that uses the Service in violation of these Terms or that significantly degrades the Service for other users.

8. No guarantee of access

The Service is provided on a best-effort basis. We cannot guarantee that any specific website, application, or destination will be reachable at all times, or that the Service will work in every network in every region. Networks change, blocks change, and protocols evolve.

9. Privacy

Our handling of data is described in the Privacy Policy. In short: we do not log browsing history, DNS queries, destination IPs, or traffic content.

10. Intellectual property

All rights in the Somon VPN brand, app, backend code, and documentation belong to us or our licensors. These Terms do not transfer any of those rights to you. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app on devices that you own or control, for personal use.

11. Open source components

Somon VPN incorporates open-source components, including WireGuard, Xray-core, and Android libraries. Each component remains licensed under its own terms. Nothing in these Terms overrides the rights granted by those open-source licenses.

12. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted operation. You use the Service at your own risk.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Somon VPN is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms or the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.

14. Termination

You can stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the app. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, if we are required to do so by law, or if the Service is discontinued. Cancellation of a paid subscription is handled through Google Play.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms when the Service or applicable law changes. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after a material change means you accept the updated Terms.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the entity operating Somon VPN. Disputes will be resolved by the competent courts of that jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence say otherwise.
